Recycled Shell Products
Recycled oyster shell for architectural finishes and landscaping
Oyster shells are a natural by-product of Australia’s seafood and aquaculture industries, with significant quantities traditionally treated as waste. Sea Land Solutions recovers and recycles oyster shells here in NSW, transforming a discarded resource into valuable products for architectural, construction and landscaping applications.
Through our washing, crushing and screening processes, we produce premium Australian recycled shell products for commercial, decorative and specialist applications.
Our oyster shell recovery and recycling program supports a circular economy by recovering a renewable natural resource, reducing waste and promoting more sustainable material use through local processing and reuse.

Garden Mulch
Our recycled oyster shell garden mulch provides a natural, non-combustible mineral alternative to traditional wood and bark mulches.
With its distinctive coastal tones and natural shell texture, it’s an attractive option for garden beds, landscape design and decorative ground cover.
Originally developed in response to the need for non-combustible landscaping materials in bushfire-prone areas, our crushed shell mulch offers a practical option for landscaping projects where reducing combustible materials is important.

Shell Gravel
Our recycled oyster shell gravel is a versatile decorative material for landscaping, garden features, pathways and specialist applications.
Produced from recovered Australian oyster shells, our crushed shell gravel features natural colour variation and a distinctive texture, offering an alternative to conventional decorative stone and gravel products.
We can also produce various shell gravel particle sizes upon request to suit specific landscaping, decorative or manufacturing requirements.

Why recycled shell?
Oyster shell is a naturally occurring mineral material composed predominantly of calcium carbonate.
By recovering and processing discarded shells, Sea Land Solutions is helping create new uses for an existing Australian resource while reducing waste and supporting circular-economy initiatives.
We’re continuing to explore new applications for recycled shell products while expanding our recovery network and processing capabilities across NSW.
